Received Talebones #37, and it is gorgeous. That wraparound cover really is a wondrous thing. And the illustration for my story is pretty darn close to how I had envisioned the story myself. Nice!
Also got my copy of Long Walks, Last Flights, and Other Strange Journeys by
kenscholes. Can't wait to tear into them both! The timing is convenient in that I just finished up an entirely different collection, and wasn't quite ready to launch into another novel just yet. This busy time of year was practically made for reading short stories!
Have been eking out words on "Mayhem in New Promise" and a couple of other smaller projects. Those last few scenes for Mayhem are ready to write, but the time crunch hit me with the holidays arriving. I wanted to knock it out in November as part of my JustGoWriteMo festivities, but alas, alack. Trying not to beat myself up over it. I have been pulling down a lot of neat details from the storysphere for a couple of my story ideas that are still marinating, so that's a good thing.
Been wanting to revamp the ol' website for over a year now and go to wordpress instead of the kind of dated looking and hard to manipulate googlepages it's on now. Main source of fear and trepidation is whether Ubuntu Linux will be an issue. My laptop runs like a choking Doberman when I have to open it to Windows Vista partition, so I only do so when forced to. Anyone have any suggestions or experience to relate on wordpress with ubuntu?
